PRINCIPLE
A staining reaction explained by Gram's on micro­organism based on a basic dye (Crystal violet) precipitate on iodination and retain undercolorized on alcoholic clearing and can be differentiated as grams positive between a contrast dye Safranine O as counter stain. Gram's reaction is routinely used in differentiating certain bacteria.

STORAGE & STABILITY
All reagents are stable for 60 months if stored tight capped between 25-35ºC away from heat and fire

RESULTS
Gram Positive Bacterium takes Blue color. Gram Negative Bacterium takes Red color.
